McLeod Halfway Housing

Charlotte, North Carolina

Onxley Architecture was asked to design a halfway house for McLeod Health. This project was extremely challenging because no examples of this type of facility were not obtainable either online or elsewhere. McLeod Health chose to repurpose an abandoned post office surrounded by warehouses on the northwest side of Charlotte, NC. Unfortunately, government funding for this halfway house was discontinued, making it necessary for McLeod Health to sell the facility. Please see the attached plan, which shows how we laid it out and provided necessary, living facilities.
